Microsoft announced that the advanced services of its Teams collaboration platform are being prepared as part of the phased promotion that will end in 2023.

At this year's Microsoft Ignite event, the company explained that the optional advanced additional functions of its Microsoft video conferencing software will make the conference more personalized, intelligent and secure.

The team advanced preview will be available in December 2022. It will be officially released in February 2023, and the most impressive functions using artificial intelligence (AI) will be launched in the first half of next year.

"Smart Review" will allow AI to transcribe Microsoft video conferences, mark important moments with recordings and chapters in conference recordings, so that relevant parts can be played easily.

AI will also support real-time Microsoft video conference transcription in 40 languages. Microsoft said it would make the meeting more inclusive. This is undoubtedly correct, but unfortunately, after the official announcement, this function was locked behind the paid subscription.

Advanced security features, such as watermark documents and limiting recording rights, will protect the enterprise from disclosure. Microsoft 365E5 customers can also apply their existing information protection labels from Microsoft to meetings and apply appropriate restrictions.

It will also be easier to set up Microsoft video conferences. Users can choose from a series of conference types that can be customized by the IT team, so that they can enter the conference with correct settings more quickly.

Webinars (which can be organized across Microsoft 365) also expire due to the upgrade of the Team Premium. Users will have access to the registration waiting list, including manual approval, automatic email alerts, virtual green houses, and controlling what attendees see.

However, due to this new service, not only the internal meeting of the company will see the overhaul. Business to consumer (B2C) participation will also benefit, thanks to the "advanced" personal appointment system, which will allow sending SMS reminders for meetings, "brand hall experience", and organizing reservations and on-demand appointments.

Microsoft has obviously been trying to make Team Premium provide good value for enterprises of all forms and sizes. However, it remains to be seen how much value Microsoft has yet to announce any pricing.
